要旨：
　世界経済における「サービス」の重要性が高まっている。持続的な経済の発展を考える上では、サービス経済の健全な成長を実現する手段を構築することが不可欠となる。このために、サービス固有の問題を解決し、生産性を高め、質を高めるための客観的手段を提供するmulti-disciplinary な学問領域としてサービス・サイエンスへの期待が高まっている。
